Data we collect
Azivault does not collect any personal data. Everything is processed locally on your Mac and we never have access to your backups or encryption password.
Analytics
If you opt into Apple's App Analytics then we may receive anonymized crash reports and usage data. To opt out, go to Settings > Privacy & Security > Analytics & Improvements on your Mac. Find out more on Apple's website.
Support
If you contact us for support, we may ask you to share a diagnostic bundle generated from Help > Generate Support Bundle in the app. This bundle may include system stats and logs, but it has been designed to exclude and redact file paths and other local information. You can review the contents of the bundle before sharing it with us. File contents are never included.
Billing
Billing is handled through the Mac App Store. We do not have access to your payment information. For more details, please refer to Apple's privacy policy.
Cloud services
If you choose to store your recovery key in iCloud Keychain then it will be subject to Apple's privacy policy.
If you choose to back up to a cloud storage provider like Amazon S3 or Backblaze B2 then your data will be subject to the privacy policy of that provider. All backups are encrypted locally on your Mac before being uploaded.
Children
Azivault does not knowingly collect any personal information from children under 13. The app does not require an account.
Changes
We may update this policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated revision date.
